Valentine Curiel's new play, Wildwood, is slated to be the next LA Mission College theatre production. Curiel, who is currently a student, previously wrote The Date, which debuted in the LAMC Stage & Screen Fest and, in collaboration with the Multimedia program, was adapted into a short film. Details about the Fall production of Wildwood will follow.
Well, we've started off the 2016-17 school year with a bang. At 8:50 this morning, the Introduction to Acting crammed into Bungalow 3, made new friends (and a lotta noise), played some games, and finished with a rousing three-team baseball game. Seven LA Mission College students had the opportunity to perform as background on an HBO film shoot this past weekend. Kathia Rios-Barragan, Brooke Lakes, Shannon Cox, Cecilia Muñoz, Michelle Anguiano, Elizabeth Flores, and Rosalina Wadlow all worked on Kate Marks's short film, Manic, which shot at Pierce College.
