LOS ANGELES MISSION COLLEGE THEATRE ARTS
Bringing professional theatre training and productions to Los Angeles's Northeast Valley since 2015
Working on a production at LA Mission College can be one of the most educational, enriching, and fun experiences that you have during your time with us. Whether you're a theatre major or just interested in being a part of the action, there's a place for you on our team.
We produce two productions in the AMP Theater every academic year. Our Fall show starts rehearsal and production in September and is presented in November. For Spring, we begin in February and produce in May.
On every show, we are seeking student actors, stage managers, and run crew, as well as members of the lighting, scenic, costume, sound, and props teams. Generally, the director, producer, production manager, technical director, and lead design positions are filled by working professionals who mentor our students through the process. In any case, our aim is to provide each student with an assignment in their area of interest, regardless of experience.
FALL 2025 PRODUCTION
THREE SISTERS
Three Sisters spans three years in the falling fortunes of three daughters of a recently deceased Colonel in the Russian army: impressionable Irina, tempestuous Masha, practical Olga—and their brother Andrei. Tired of their small-town surroundings, the sisters long to return to Moscow, the bustling metropolis they left eleven years ago. Unfortunately, disappointment-after-disappointment, a devastating fire, and Andrei’s compulsive gambling wreaks havoc on the family and they’re never able to escape.

Anton Chekhov's 1900 play is revered and revolutionary, portraying common people with a depth and humanity that had rarely been seen before or since its debut. Packed with action and emotion—with two tumultuous affairs, a fire that devastates the nearby town, and a duel that ends in the death of a major character—Three Sisters is a universal portrait a world that moves forward at a breakneck pace while the people in it are mired in muck.

Three Sisters is written by Juli Crockett and directed by Brian Tichnell, with scenic design by Dorothy Hoover, lighting design by Bri Pattillo, and costume design by student Kiara Caban, with mentorship by Lena Sands. Anthony-Michael Herrara is the sound designer and Ivan Hernandez is assistant director.
Three Sisters will be presented in the AMP Theater from November 14-23, 2025.
